AAA Tourism has developed the first national program providing travellers with special needs, comprehensive information about ‘access friendly’ facilities at properties throughout Australia.
The Access Information Program is based on a self-assessment completed by STAR Rated properties allowing them to communicate any special access features to travellers. This relates to wheelchair access but also includes facilities and considerations for sight and hearing impaired individuals, as well as the aged.
The Access Information Available logo will appear on relevant property listings in the Auto Clubs’ National Accommodation Guide and National Tourist Park Guide, as well as on the AAA Tourism website.
Travellers can determine a property’s suitability by reviewing the electronic report available under the property’s listing on the AAA Tourism website.
