Self Catering

A Self Catering property is your home away from home. It will offer you a sole occupancy unit consisting of one or more bedrooms or suites and a dining area with cooking facilities. Accommodation styles include Apartments, Holiday Units, Houses, Cottages, Chalets, Villas and Cabins.

The table below provides a guide to the absolute minimum a Self Catering property must offer to achieve the required STAR Rating. Many Self Catering properties exceed this basic description and offer other facilities and services that are not listed here. Each STAR Rating level must include all listed requirements of lower levels.

	Outstanding establishments characterised by luxury appointments offering an exceptional standard of facilities, furnishings and guest services. Ensuite to master bedroom, dishwasher, internal laundry, sound system and air-conditioning
	Very well appointed accommodation reflecting stylish décor throughout and a high standard of facilities, furnishings and guest services. Guest laundry on site, linen and towelling and generally air-conditioning and dishwasher
	Well appointed and comfortable accommodation with a good range of facilities, furnishings and guest services including host contactable seven days
	Basic accommodation with clean and reasonably well maintained range of facilities
	Simple and clean, no-frills style accommodation with cooking facilities

A half STAR is awarded to properties that provide a more extensive range of facilities
